Farmers Market – Mississippi Fireflies Concert
August 26 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The Mississippi Fireflies, coming off of a well-received performance at this month’s Aitkin County Fair, will perform on Saturday, August 26.
The Mississippi Fireflies is a small group of musicians united by Great River Strings who keep the music going all summer long. They are excited to bring a wide variety of styles and pieces from traditional folk to favorite baroque classics to Aitkin Farmers’ Market audiences.
The exclusive free concert will be held outside the Aitkin Butler Building (301 Minnesota Avenue North) during the Aitkin Farmers’ Market, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
On Saturdays, starting May 27th, Memorial Weekend, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the 2017 Farmers’ Market will return to Aitkin’s most recognizable historic landmark, the Butler Building (301 Minnesota Avenue North). The weekly event is held in the Butler Building parking lot every Saturday through Labor Day.
