The Aitkin Farmers’ Market will return for its fourth year, in the parking lot of the historic Butler Building (301 Minnesota Avenue North) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from Memorial Weekend until Labor Day Weekend.
Organizers of the annual weekend event are putting out the call to any farmers interested in bringing fresh produce and homemade goods to Aitkin and surrounding towns.
The market has become popular for featuring various delicious homemade goods and handmade offerings, including eggs, baked goods, syrup, and organic produce to jams and jellies, soaps, dog treats, flowers and herbs, homemade salsas, and yarn and wool products, among many other items.
If you would like to participate in this year’s Farmers’ Market and sell your own products, you can apply by going to thebutlerbuilding.org/forms. Or you can call the building’s owner Sylvia Allen at 218-678-2441 to have an application sent to you. The deadline to apply is May 15.
The Aitkin Farmers’ Market will be held every Saturday through Labor Day Weekend. In inclement weather, the Farmers’ Market moves indoors within the Butler Building.
